Diamante's Animal Sanctuary Discovery Pass

About this tour

Diamante is a wild animal sanctuary located close to Tamarindo, which main function is to work as a rescue center. Some of the animals which happen to have some disabilities for being released, are fed, and kept in the sanctuary. The Diamante Sanctuary is one of the most important animal's educational centers in Costa Rica. The visit with a naturalist guide will allow you to learn about the species and their natural history at first hand. As well, you can also take some incredible photographs. Diamante has beautiful gardens with a great variety of ornamental plants that constantly attract different species of birds, such as hummingbirds, honeycreepers, warblers, as well as many interesting insects and colorful butterflies such as the blue morpho.

The animals of the sanctuary are extremely cared for by specialist biologists and zoologists, also by veterinarians to ensure the best health conditions for the animals. The police authorities maintain a close agreement with the sanctuary to rescue the species from various situations.
